my name's Beau, AKA Fest or Festidae, & i'm a nonbinary artist and illustrator.i'm a recent college graduate with a BFA in studio art. i'm currently focused on writing a graphic novel titled Distress Signal, though i dabble in printmaking (mainly woodcuts) and making watercolor pencil paintings as well. my art and stories are highly inspired by my life as a queer and disabled person.in my free time i mostly draw, write, knit, listen to podcasts, watch streamers, and play video games.

please note that by commissioning me, you automatically agree to all terms within the terms of service.

GENERAL

1. I reserve the right to refuse any commission without needing to state my reasons why.
2. Commissioners must provide a visual reference when commissioning me; this does not need to be strictly a reference sheet, as long as it properly shows the character's design.
3. Commissions can take anywhere from a few days to a month or more; I am a full-time university student and tend to be busy.

PRICING & PAYMENT

1. All prices listed are in USD.
2. Payments are accepted through PayPal invoices ONLY. Wait until I send the invoice to pay; do not send payment on your own.
3. I will not start on a commission until I receive payment for it.
4. If requested, a commissioner can pay half of the price beforehand, and half afterwards; if this is the case, then the commissioner will only receive watermarked versions of the commission until full payment is received. Unless requested otherwise, all commissions are assumed to be paid in full beforehand.

REFUNDS

1. If I am unable to finish a commission for any reason, I will refund the price in full.
2. If the commissioner requests a refund for any reason, payment will be refunded depending on how much of the piece is finished. If the piece has not been started or only the sketch has been completed, payment will be refunded in full.

COMMISSIONER REQUESTS

Changes
1. Minor changes to a commission are free.
2. Major changes fixing a mistake on my part (i.e. something was included in the reference, or requested to be included by the commissioner, and I forgot it) are free.
3. Any major changes requested after the sketch is OK-ed by the commissioner that are not fixing a mistake on my part will cost an additional charge depending on the change.WIP Screenshots
1. I will send a WIP screenshot to the commissioner after completing the sketch to confirm pose, expression, etc.
2. Commissioners are free to request WIPs at any time during the commission process, as well as request WIPs at specific points (e.g. after finishing lines and flat colors, but before beginning shading). I will also usually ask if the commissioner wants to see WIPs at each stage of the drawing (lines, flats, shading, etc).Deadlines
1. Commissioners are free to request that their piece be finished by a certain date. However, I make no guarantees that I will be able to finish the piece by the deadline requested.
2. Commissioners who request a deadline will be bumped up in the queue in order to make the completion of their piece by the deadline more likely.

PERMISSIONS

If you are the commissioner OR the piece was commissioned for you:
1. You are automatically allowed to use your commission for any non-commercial purposes (e.g. icon, banner/header, background, page decorations, etc) as long as credit is properly given* and I have received full payment.
2. You are also allowed to repost your commission as long as it is clear that it is not your art, credit is properly given*, and I have received full payment.
3. Feel free to ask if you're not sure if you're able to use the commission for something.*'Properly given' meaning that you link back to one of my accounts or this site, with my username, in a visible area (credit pages are okay).If you are not the commissioner and the piece was not commissioned for you, you are not allowed to use my art in any way without permission from me, the commissioner, AND the person it was commissioned for (if applicable).
